Are micro, small and medium enterprises from the Southeast Europe countries investment ready? The research includes: Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Romania and Kosovo. First the general results from the research will be introduced, followed by a presentation of the modern hi-tech trends at global level. The research and the findings about each country separately will be presented through explanation of the difficulty of creating an innovative market-sustainable product and the factors that influence the project. Slovenia will have a somewhat different presentation through a case study: examples of one company from the hi-tech sector in Slovenia which have received Business Angels investment.
There will be presentation of a clear investment decision making process for the hi-tech sector in the Western Balkan Region from investor’s perspective; the alternative financing sources that are in the region. The guest from Belgium Didier Vermeiren- founder of CashCollie, Organizer Pitch Arena, Partner Tsunami Ventures will talk about:
- Best practices;
- What needs to be done for higher rate of success;
- Group/peer learning;
- How to get a stronger position for obtaining financing;
- Skills needed (networking, entrepreneurship skills, not just a ready bus. plan)
The critical elements which should be considered when developing a business model will be presented. The topic focused on a particular country will be elaborated through Bulgaria.
